House Speaker Mike Johnson blasted Vice President Kamala Harris for skipping out on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a joint session of Congress, choosing instead to address the historically black Zeta Phi Beta sorority in Indiana instead.
Harris, who as VP also presides over the Senate, appeared to side with the far-left of her Democratic Party in boycotting a speech by the country’s most important ally in the Middle East, which drew the ire of Republicans and led some to compare her actions to siding with the terrorist organization Hamas, whose fighters attacked the Jewish state last October, killing more than 1,300 people and taking hundreds of hostages, most of which have since been killed.
Johnson shredded Harris for her decision during an appearance on the Fox Business Network with former Trump administration economist Larry Kudlow.
Another new survey is good news for former President Donald Trump, just days after President Joe Biden dropped his re-election bid and endorsed his vice president.
According to the CNN survey, 49 percent of respondents supported Trump, while 46 percent backed Harris. SSRS conducted the poll.
The poll was conducted between July 22-23, a few days after Biden announced he was abandoning his reelection bid. It was conducted among registered voters who had previously participated in CNN surveys in April and June, where Trump was leading Biden by 6 points.
