Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is criticised by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for her absurd assertion that the need for people to shoplift a loaf of food is a result of poverty and the sharp increase in shootings and murders.
He referred to her assertions as “factually impossible.”
After sending so many patients with DTMNBN (Disease That Must Not Be Named) to nursing facilities, where a significant number of deaths occurred, Cuomo has been working to repair his reputation.
It was a complete disaster to send infected patients to an area where the most vulnerable residents reside.
While Gov. Cuomo notes that evictions in the state have been suspended, AOC claimed that many were unable to pay their rent.
Therefore, being evicted is not something the people had to worry about yet.
However, it is true that thanks to Cuomo’s blundering response to DTMNBN, New Yorkers are in very dire financial straights.
AOC made her remarks following a particularly brutal weekend in New York, which included the shooting and death of a one-year-old kid. Not a lack of a loaf of bread, but a lack of law enforcement, is the issue. Particularly in a city and state where it is practically difficult for a law-abiding civilian to carry a gun, there have been an extraordinarily high number of shootings.
