DONALD TRUMP DESTROYS DISTRICT ATTORNEY IN A HUGE ARGUMENT OVER 2020 ELECTION

September 18, 2023

Donald Trump has stepped up his criticism of a district attorney in the US state of Georgia where he may soon be charged with crimes related to his attempts to rig the 2020 election.

Trump claimed on his Truth Social page on Monday that the Fulton County district attorney, Fani Willis, was attempting to indict him on “ridiculous grounds” and interfering with his 2024 reelection campaign.

Willis has spent more than two years looking into the former president’s and his supporters’ attempts to rig Georgia’s 2020 election results, including a call he made in January 2021 to the chief election official pleading with him to “find” enough votes to give him the victory.

“No, I didn’t rig the election,” Trump continued to falsely assert that there was widespread fraud in the election he lost to President Joe Biden in an all-caps post on Truth Social on Monday morning.

“Those that tampered with the election were the ones who stole it, and they are the filth who should be brought to justice. I made the ideal protest phone call. Why wasn’t this phoney case filed two and a half years ago? Election meddling!” he exclaimed.

Prosecutors in Atlanta have begun presenting their case to a grand jury, which heard the testimonies of two former Democratic state lawmakers – Senator Jen Jordan and Representative Bee Nguyen – on Monday.

Jordan, who had been summoned to testify before the grand jury, claimed to have been interrogated for around 40 minutes when she exited the Fulton County courthouse late on Monday morning. Nguyen afterwards claimed to have provided testimony.

Security has been tightened around the county courthouse in recent weeks, and Willis had already stated she would file charges this month.
