Once more, former president Donald Trump is criticising New York Attorney General Letitia James.

He thinks of them as JOKES, saying, “So horrible and dangerous for the legal system in New York State!” Trump posted a message on Truth Social.
Additionally, Trump posted an article on Truth Social that highlighted recent remarks made by legal expert and Georgetown University law school professor Jonathan Turley.
Turley likened the treatment Trump is receiving in New York to “mob justice” in a Fox News appearance.
In response to the hefty $454 million punishment imposed on him in his civil fraud case, Turley pointed out that due to the nature of the finding, Trump is not even eligible to challenge it until he has paid the required sum.
Turley told the hosts of “Fox & Friends” morning show, “This is obviously a situation where you have no good options, including getting the bond itself. Remember, if you get the bond, you still lose a considerable amount of money on the cost of the bond. And this creates a sort of perverse incentive for judges like this one who come up with this astronomical, in my opinion ridiculous, level of damages. Basically, his position is, ‘In order to get any other judge to look at what I’ve done to you, you’ve got to come up with basically a half a billion dollars, just to appeal,'” Turley said.
NY Attorney General James, who ran on a platform of “getting” Donald Trump, requested $370 million in damages as well as a permanent injunction on the former president conducting business in the state. She was satisfied by Judge Arthur Engoron’s decision from last month, which imposed the hefty punishment and more.
James had asked Trump for $370 million in fines, plus 9% interest. If money is granted, it will go to the New York State Treasury until the state comptroller instructs otherwise, according to Fox News.
Following the decision, Trump attacked “clubhouse politician” Ed Engoron and offered support for the “great company” he founded, telling Fox News Digital that the decision is just another instance of Democrats “trying to stop” him but that “they will not be successful.”
