The former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani, who briefly served as President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, has filed a significant defamation case against Vice President Joe Biden for calling him a “Russian pawn.”
In response to accusations that he is an alcoholic, Giuliani said he would be in the “Guinness Book of World Records” if he indulged in heavy drinking while maintaining the kind of law enforcement and prosecutorial career he has.
Giuliani was replying to a New York Times article that claimed that federal prosecutors looking into Trump’s alleged attempts to tamper with the results of the 2020 election were concentrating on his suspected drinking.
At a press conference in New Hampshire, Giuliani listed his career achievements before saying, “If I had an alcohol problem and I could do all that, I should be in the Guinness Book of Records.”
“I don’t have a drinking issue. He asserted, “I’ve never had an alcohol issue.
After stating that he had brought legal action against the president, the former mayor of New York City was questioned over the report. Giuliani noted that Biden asserted that the former federal prosecutor and Trump during the 2020 election cycle that the former federal prosecutor and Trump lawyer had links to the Kremlin and was attempting to spread Russian disinformation.
Rudy Giuliani is being exploited as a Russian pawn, according to the former vice president, who said this at their 2020 debate on October 22: “Buddy, Rudy Giuliani, he is being fed information that is Russian that is not true.”
Additionally, the future president said that the data found on his son Hunter Biden’s now-famous laptop was fake and was planted.
“Four, five former heads of the CIA say that what [Trump] is saying about the laptop is a bunch of garbage,” asserted Biden. Nobody, including his close friend Rudy Giuliani, believes it.
However, information obtained from the laptop has since been proved to be accurate and has been the focus of numerous congressional inquiries.
Guiliani responded by saying he was seeking “millions and billions of dollars” in his defamation lawsuit, but he did not specify a figure. The Daily Mail also mentioned that Giuliani chose to file in New Hampshire because of its lenient defamation laws.
Sources close to the investigation told the outlet that special counsel Jack Smith has been questioning witnesses regarding the amount Giuliani may have been drinking when he was advising Trump on election night and in the following weeks as they sought answers to questions that arose about alleged balloting improprieties.
