As his case moves closer to trial, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter did not receive all the information he desired from a federal court. Prosecutors achieved several notable successes with U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, according to The Epoch Times.
She stated that the government would be permitted to discuss Biden’s spending patterns with reference to his 2018 $900 weapon purchase in Delaware.
The 54-year-old admitted to using drugs at the time he bought the pistol, and the judge further stated that government prosecutors would only need to demonstrate one point. Biden has acknowledged this in his biography and interviews.
Additionally, state officials “did not possess the evidence federal authorities later obtained, and even if they had, the conduct was likely not prosecutable under Delaware state law,” according to the prosecution, which persuaded the judge to forbid the defence from bringing up the fact that Delaware prosecutors had declined to press charges against their client for the same offences.
The defense for the son of the president also scored its share of victories in the hearing, including prohibiting the prosecution from mentioning anything about Biden being discharged from the U.S. Navy or his child support proceedings and any references to the tax fraud charges he is facing in California.
Prosecutors are also banned from describing Biden’s spending habits as an “extravagant lifestyle.”
Prosecutors stated that it would be pointless and that there is no proof that any of the data on the laptop was altered, so Noreika will also entertain inquiries over the accuracy of the contents contained in his notorious laptop.
Hunter Biden was attacked by Republican Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio during an April Fox News appearance. According to Jordan’s counsel, his argument was “baseless.”
The Ohio Republican stated in a Fox News interview that it is “ridiculous” for Hunter Biden to claim that the evidence is “baseless,” given that “the country can see what he was involved in.”
He added, “That’s — that’s what we’re talking about here. So this idea is baseless is just ridiculous. The country can see what was going on here. And Mr. Bobulinski, Mr. Galanis will talk about when Joe Biden showed up and when Joe Biden was actually involved in these things. That’s what we’re going to hear. And the contradictions of when Hunter Biden testified under oath, what he said versus what all his partners, who he no longer has any relationship with, what they said under oath.”
