JOE BIDEN CAMPAIGN LOSES 70% SUPPORT AMONG BLACKS & INDEPENDENT VOTERS

July 14, 2024

The campaign of President Joe Biden continues to suffer massive defections among one of its most important voter bases.

His candidacy is continuing to lose black voters in the double digits to former President Donald Trump, a poll by Cygnal found, Breitbart News reported.

Even after third-party candidates like RFK Jr. are included, Trump still leads 45 percent to 38 percent.

But it is the president’s defections in key demographics for his campaign that are the most troubling for him.

The poll correlates with previous reporting on the president suffering among key Democrat voting blocs.

CNN’s senior political data analyst was visibly stunned during a June network segment by the rising level of support among black Americans for former President Donald Trump.

Analyst Harry Enten, who has been tracking Trump’s rising support among the black community, noted it has now reached a historic level in the modern era for a Republican presidential contender, adding that the voting bloc will prove crucial to winning battleground states like Georgia and Wisconsin.

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll conducted in May found that Trump has considerably narrowed his gap with President Joe Biden among black Americans in six battleground states, with Biden leading Trump 70% to 18%. Enten said.

Enten made it clear to Berman that Biden is retaining older black voters but is bleeding support from younger black voters.
