Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) revealed impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden were still being considered during this week’s episode of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
The Ohio Republican claims that impeachment would be an option under the Constitution if he were found guilty of so-called high crimes and misdemeanours, such as bribery or treason.
The host questioned, “We don’t know if he’s taken in $10 million, $30 million, $100 million from all of these international rivals and foreign people. “…Some of the committee members in your organisation are discussing impeachment. Is that a possibility?
It certainly is, Jordan retorted.
And, look, the Constitution and the facts are what motivate us. If the evidence demonstrate that there have been high crimes, misdemeanours, bribery, treason, or other offences that call for impeachment, then we are obligated by duty to act. However, we must first lay down all the pertinent information.
“But you’re right,” he said. There are 150 suspicious activity reports, 20 different companies they are using to transfer money through, a variety of Biden family members receiving payments, and now whistleblowers are coming forward with this information and establishing their credibility. Everything is starting to accumulate. Jordan threw in.
And once more, we’re motivated by the facts. We’ll keep conducting our inquiry, wait for Mr. Comer and the Oversight Committee to finish, and then review everything. We will have to move forward if the Constitution requires it, but we won’t be there just yet. We must keep conducting the probe, he said.
