With connection to the Hunter Biden investigation, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has asked House members to consider impeaching President Joe Biden (D).
Cruz started pushing for impeachment when an IRS informant on the Hunter Biden investigation revealed to Congress that the president’s son used WhatsApp to pressure a Chinese business partner and claimed the older Biden was there while he was making agreements.
Hunter Biden allegedly claimed to be with his father and specifically mentioned him in a WhatsApp message to Henry Zhao, CEO of Harvest Fund Management, on July 30, 2017, in an effort to pressure Zhao to keep a promise. This information was obtained by the IRS, according to whistleblower Gary Shapley Jr., who oversaw the IRS investigation into the president’s son.
And Z, I promise you that you will regret not following my direction if I receive a call or text from anyone engaged in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman thanks to the man sitting next to me and everyone he knows.
Hunter Biden reportedly said, “I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
In a recent episode of his podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz, the senator responded to these.
Look, this WhatsApp is concrete proof that Joe Biden abused his position of authority to benefit himself and, assuming 10% for the big guy, his son. He spoke
“Remember, this WhatsApp message states “we want to know.”
This is not just me, Hunter, just mooching off my dad…. Of course the House needs to investigate it.”
“But the stunning thing is what the IRS whistleblower says is [Department of Justice], Merrick Garland prevented an investigation even into this message.” He added.
Cruz claimed that “this WhatsApp ties Joe Biden to the millions of dollars coming from communist China.” “Now, it’s plausible that Joe Biden wasn’t standing next to him and that Hunter Biden was lying. If the Chinese didn’t give Joe Biden and his son millions of dollars, it’s feasible that he wouldn’t have caused them any formal harm.
It’s plausible, but we don’t know if it’s true or not. Why? Since they were not allowed to investigate, the whistleblower claims, they did not do so. They were restrained from posing the query at all.
He also calls for a probe of Merrick Garland, the attorney general.
According to a recent poll, four out of ten likely voters think Congress should start the impeachment process against the president, Breitbart revelation reported on May 20. Cruz’s revelation comes at the same time.
