As the GOP-led House continues to unearth what they have alleged is accumulating evidence of wrongdoing between President Joe Biden and members of his family, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, chair of the House Republican Conference, talked about a “damning photo” she recently discovered.
On Friday, Stefanik disclosed that she had discovered a photo of Biden with his currently-affiliated adviser, Hunter Biden, while serving as vice president aboard Air Force Two.
Hunter Biden and his associates at the Ukrainian oil firm Burisma Holdings appear to have been in touch with Amos Hochstein, Joe Biden’s special presidential coordinator, at the time that Hunter was a board member.
On December 6, 2015, while travelling on Air Force Two to meet with Ukrainian leaders in Kyiv, Biden is seen getting a briefing from Hochstein, according to a shot by White House photographer David Lienemann. The discussion took place shortly after Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in funding unless they fired their head prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.
Stefanik said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the “damning photo” of then-Vice President Joe Biden speaking with Amos Hochstein while aboard Air Force Two on its way to Ukraine “is just further evidence that Biden and senior officials in the Biden Administration not only knew of Hunter Biden’s corrupt foreign business dealings, but also that Joe Biden was intimately involved while Vice President.”
She added, “Hochstein was in contact with Hunter Biden and Burisma at the time of this photo, while Hunter served on the board. Additionally, we are aware that this picture was shot on Air Force Two before Joe Biden’s now-famous conversation with Petro Poroshenko in which he threatened to withhold aid if a Ukrainian prosecutor looking into Burisma was not sacked.
“Everything suggests that Joe Biden has been seriously compromised. In our investigations into Biden’s involvement in his family’s influence-peddling operation, House Republicans will stop at nothing, Stefanik continued.
Garland’s announcement, according to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Kentucky, was “part of the Justice Department’s efforts to attempt a Biden family coverup in light of [House Oversight Republicans’] mounting evidence of President Biden’s role in his family’s schemes selling ‘the brand’ for millions of dollars to foreign nationals.”
The statute of limitations had already begun to run with regard to the serious offences committed by Hunter Biden due to the Justice Department’s improper handling and politicisation of the Biden criminal investigation, Comer continued. Officials from the Justice Department “refused to follow evidence that could have led to Joe Biden, informed the Biden transition team and Hunter Biden’s attorneys about planned searches and interviews, and tried to covertly put Hunter Biden on the path to a sweetheart plea deal.”
